YOUTH ALLIANCE Way forward for Argyle's exciting 18s

argyle logo2013Plymouth Argyle Under 18s coach Darren Way was delighted with the greens' 6-2 win over Yeovil Town on their Youth Alliance League bow at Bolitho Park.

The Plymouth-born former Yeovil manager and midfield ace watched on as Rhys Shirley bagged a hat-trick and Home Park Academy graduate Charlie Miller netted a long range effort.

Oscar Rutherford and Will Jenkins-Davies were also on target in a resounding home win for Way's exciting young greens.

Way said: "It was really pleasing to see the boys put in that level of commitment and desire to win a football match. We won only three times last year, so to win the way we did was very pleasing.

“Yeovil have a good team, I can't see them struggling this year, but it was more down to us and how we worked collectively to win."
