WEST CORNWALL ESFA Boys U13 quarter final squad

West Cornwall host Waltham Forest in the English Schools FA National Boys Under 13 Inter Association Trophy quarter final at Hayle FC today (1100).

West Cornwall have already triumphed over East Cornwall, North Somerset (8-4) Poole & East Dorset (4-2) and Portsmouth (7-1) to reach the last eight.

Today’s opponents, Waltham Forest, have beaten Thurrock, Thanet, Harrow and Ealing High.

West Cornwall secretary Jake Ash is extremely proud of the teams achievements.

Ash - football development officer at Penryn College - said: “The side have done incredibly to reach this stage of the competition amongst what are the best players in this age group in the whole country.

"Kevin Lawrence (manager and Football Development Officer at Mounts Bay Academy) has done a brilliant job, alongside his assistant Frazer Cadman, and the team haven’t just been lucky to get this far.

"They are a really talented bunch, who are an absolute pleasure to watch. We try and encourage all our teams to play the right way and play football as often as the game allows, and these boys are extremely capable of doing that.

"Whatever the result on Friday, we have an exceptionally talented group here who will be all the richer for the experience. If anyone is at a loose end on Friday, I would definitely recommend getting down to Hayle FC and supporting the boys.”
