Wiltshire Cricket crest Wiltshire CCC open their 2017 Unicorns Trophy campaign against Buckinghamshire CCC at Warminster CC today (1100).

Ed Young's minor counties side will be seeking to bounce back after defeats in their final two warm-up matches.

Wiltshire played Berkshire CCC (304-8) at North Maidenhead CC and lost by 132 runs so Berkshire regained the Marlborough Cup after four years. Wiltshire were all out for 172 off 42 overs. Wes Durston scored 32, Jake Lintott 41 and Billy Cookson 28no.

On Easter Monday Wilts (195 off 48 overs) played Dorset CCC at North Perrott CC and lost by two wickets. Ashur Morrison scored 44, Neil Clark 54 and Jon Sore 26. Mark Wolstenholme took 3-54. Dorset were struggling at 37-5 until a winning partnership of 102 between Luke Webb (58) and Sam Thomson (49) regained the initiative and Dorset got home by 2 wickets with 11 balls remaining scoring 196-8. Brannon Varley took 4-26 but Wiltshire contributed to the Dorset total with 55 extras including 36 in wides.
