CRICKET: NOON START FOR PREMIER CUP TIES

Today's Cornwall Cricket League Premier 50/50 Cup start an hour earlier - at noon - due to county first team players travelling to Hertfordshire for tomorrow's crunch Minor Counties match.

A win for Tom Sharp's unchanged county side against Herts at North Mymms (1100 start) will enable Cornwall to reach the MCCA Trophy semi-finals.

In today's Premier Cup, Camborne will seal a semi-final place if they beat Paul at Roskear. The winners of the Falmouth versus St Just tie will be favourites to also make the semis from the west group.

The winner of Werrington home tie against St Austell will be favourites to top the east group while Truro need to win at Callington to maintain their hopes, having not completed a game yet.

County Division 1 pace setters Redruth are at home to Penzance (Trewirgie) while second placed Wadebridge visit Luckett (Chapel Field).

Newquay play Beacon at Tretherras Road, Perranarworthal host Gorran (Tredrea) Roche take on Ludgvan (Trezaise Road) and Hayle visit St Austell seconds (Wheal Eliza). Today's County One matches are set to start at 1330.

Tomorrow in the Kingfisher Beer Cup second round, Werrington host Falmouth (Ladycross, 1300 start) while there is an outstanding first round tie as Grampound Road host Devon League side Cornwood (The Playing Field, 1300).
