Bridgwater CC batsman Chris Gange scored an unbeaten 165 as the Somerset side beat Cornish visitors Falmouth CC by 181 runs in the Kingfisher Beer Cup third round to ease into the last 32 of the national club cricket competition.
Gange - batting at three - helped the unbeaten West of England Premier League pace setters make 275-4 in 45 overs while Stefan Jones (3-10), Chris Skidmore (3-27) and Ian Bishop (3-55) all took three wickets as Falmouth were bowled out for 94 in the 21st over.

Cricketers in today's national Kingfisher Beer Cup third round are eying a place in the last 32 of the ECB national club competition.
Regional third round ties – which are all due to start at 1300 - include St Austell CC at home to Bovey Tracey CC (Wheal Eliza) and Bridgwater CC against Falmouth CC (The Parks) in group 10.

Record breaking Ross Jones topped the Total Triumph Classic leaderboard at Oake Manor Golf Club, Somerset to claim his first PGA West Region order of merit win.
Bath’s Jones finished 10 under on 130 after a scorching second round, course record 62 to finish three strokes ahead of runner-up Paul Hendriksen of Dinnaton (69, 64).

The men's Cornwall Golf Union Amateur Championships take place at St Enodoc until Saturday with the match play stages of the competition already in full swing.
Joe Cruse – from the host club – topped yesterday's qualifying leader board with back to back 67s for a six under 134 total, six ahead of nearest rivals Carl Burley (Merlin) and Anthony Nash (St Enodoc) on 140.

Nigel Hambly's Cornwall Cricket League County Division One pace setters Redruth knocked out Premier side Troon in the 20-over Vinter Cup second round at Treslothan Road last night.
The Reds made 139 for 5, as in-form Neil Hornbuckle top scored on 52, and went on to win by 74 runs as hosts Troon totalled 65-9 (Harry Bolland 3-8).
