Gloucestershire put South West women’s golf to the fore again at this week’s England Golf Women’s County Finals at Waterlooville Golf Club in Hampshire.
It will be the South West women's champions' sixth successive appearance at the national county finals and this week they are set to include the tournament’s youngest player in 13-year-old Ffion Tynan, the English U14 girls champion.

Bath City’s National League South 3-1 home defeat against Oxford City on Tuesday night came ahead of the sides’ FA Cup meeting back at Twerton Park in less than two weeks.
In another stand-out 2QR tie Steve Claridge’s Salisbury FC will host Tim Harris’ National League North Tigers, Gloucester City AFC on Saturday September 17.

Team GB gold medal-winning Olympian Alex Danson is teaming up with top flight Bristol hockey hub club Clifton Robinsons Ladies ahead of the up-and-coming England Women’s Hockey League Premier season.
The 31-year-old Southampton-born GB and England Hockey free scoring ace switches from Reading to Clifton, skippered by Scottish international Aileen Davis.
