Oxfordshire enjoyed mixed fortunes at the start of their defence of the National Counties T20 title with a win and a loss in their Group Four opener against Buckinghamshire at Wormsley. Having started with a 10 runs defeat in the first match of the day, Oxfordshire bounced back in the second with a four wickets victory thanks to decisive contributions from two contracted county players, Samit Patel and Harrison Ward.

A LAST gasp penalty by Fletcher Williams (pictured) enabled Ivybridge Town to rescue a point with a 1-1 draw at home to Okehampton in the South West Peninsula League.It needed a half-time pep talk from manager Darren Stewart to spark some life into the Ivybridge side after a below par first half in which they were fortunate to escape with a single goal deficit at the interval.
