In the cold light of day this goes down as another defeat for Saltash - but dig a little deeper and you’ll find a performance to provide plenty of optimism for the rest of the season.

Ivybridge Town are through to the Walter C Parson League Cup third round following a 3-2 win at Stoke Gabriel and Torbay Police in a classic game of two halves on Saturday (Oct 14).

A confident first half performance saw Ivybridge take a deserved 2-0 interval lead. But injuries to Connor Rush and Fletcher Williams resulted in a number of changes early in the second period and Stoke Gabriel took advantage to draw level.
