Devon have won the England Bowls men's county Middleton Cup, supported by the Friends of English Bowling, for the first time since 2011.
Devon beat Cumbria 125-113 in the Middleton Cup final at Victoria Park, Royal Leamington Spa after beating Kent in the first of the morning's semi-finals.

Devon's Robert Paxton is the new Scottish International Open bowls champion.
Paxton - from Exonia Bowling Club - etched his name into the bowls record books at Dewars Centre in Perth when he beat world number two Greg Harlow 2-11, 10-2, 2-0 to become the first qualifier to win the established World Bowls Tour title.

Devonian Robert Paxton, the first qualifier ever to reach the Scottish International Open final, leaps to a career-high No7 in the first provisional World Bowls Tour world rankings for next season.
It was from a position of 18 in the current rankings that the 33-year-old from Exeter was forced to qualify for the established WBT event in Scotland.

Devon’s Robert Paxton will compete in the final of a World Bowls Tour event for the first time today at 1400.
The Exonia star continued his stunning run in the Co-operative Funeralcare Scottish International Open when he defeated defending champion Mervyn King in straight sets at Dewars Centre in Perth.

In his first season out of the World Bowls Tour world top 16 for more than a decade, Devon's Ian Bond struck back in the opening round of the Co-operative Funeralcare Scottish International Open at Dewars Centre in Perth to upset fellow Englishman Mark Royal, the world No4.
Now ranked 17 in the world, England's Bond took full advantage of the wild card he was given to compete in the WBT event for which the top 16 have automatic entry.
