The 29-year-old Bristol born ace raced into a 7-1 lead and never looked back against 43-year-old world no 3 O'Sullivan, who has won the Masters seven times.
Trump - nicknamed the Juddernaut - is ranked five in the world.
He hails from Whitchurch, Bristol, and turned professional in 2005 after a highly successful amateur career in which he reached the world under 21 championship as a 14 year old, the same year he became the youngest player to make a competitive 147.
Trump, now based in Essex, tweeted his first Masters win was "a dream come true" while also taking to social media to thank fans for their support.
