Nowell marked his first start since last May by scoring a try in Sunday’s Braves win over Bath.
Tomorrow he is one of seven Chiefs changes to the starting XV, 42-31 winners at Wasps.
Nowell returns on the right wing in place of Ian Whitten.
Joe Simmonds and Jack Maunder both get their first starts of the season at half-back.
There is a new-look front-row made up of Ben Moon, Luke Cowan-Dickie and Harry Williams, while Jonny Hill starts in the second row as Sam Skinner is sidelined (ankle).
With Jack Yeandle and Gareth Steenson named among the replacements - alongside Academy youngster Sam Maunder, who gets his first-ever first-team call-up - Don Armand skippers the side from the back-row.
