Flanker Joe Joyce is on England Under 20 duty, Mark George playing for Stourbridge and Ben West has unavoidable family commitments so Gloucestershire make seven switches from the side beaten 24-19 by Cornwall in last Saturday's Cinderford opener.

Mike Wilcox takes over as captain with 10 fellow Cinderford players in the starting 15.

Last season Gloucestershire inflicted Hertfordshire's only defeat, at Cinderford.

However in 2011 Herts recorded the biggest win over Gloucestershire in 134 years of representative county rugby, beating their hosts 53-8 at Old Albanians.
