Since kicking off in April 2008, South West Sports News has been pro-active in its support of regional rugby.
Now egg chasers, I need a small on-the-ball favour in return. Please pass it on to your club secretary/fixtures secretary that I urgently require them to email me official kick off times of South West rugby matches featured in our fixtures lists.
I like SWSN sports fixtures lists to include venues and start times so the information is easily accessible for prospective supporters to be handed the golden egg-shaped opportunity of watching your club play on their sporting Saturday.
The process is to make this as simple but informative as possible. Fixture, location and start time.
It's worked a treat with non-League football and hockey clubs, but unfortunately I do not have time to access every club website every week to check everybody's fixtures lists ... (there are now in excess of 600 teams tracking SWSN on twitter).
With thousands of you popping into check on the rugby fixtures I hoped to get scores of emails with kick off confirmation times ...
Unfortunately it seems that those in-the-know don't want to pass it on.
So now – as ever – rugby team SWSN it's down to you pass it on.
