Bath Rugby back Matt Banahan last night joined the England training camp preparing for Saturday's RBS 6 Nations match against Scotland at Murrayfield.
Jersey-born Banahan, 25, was a member of the England Saxons side that beat Irish Wolfhounds 23-17 at Exeter on Saturday and takes over from injured Gloucester centre Henry Trinder (ankle) in the senior squad.
Bath already have a trio of front row forwards in the England camp – props David Flatman and David Wilson along with Torquay-born hooker Lee Mears.
Leicester Tigers forward Thomas Waldrom – who also featured in Saturday’s Sandy Park success - replaces Gloucester forward Luke Narraway (calf) who, like Trinder, will remain at Gloucester for treatment.
