Devon golf professional Paul Hendriksen fired a fantastic eight-under-par 63 at Ferndown to clinch his second successive victory in a West Region qualifier for the Glenmuir PGA Professional Championship in association with Peugeot.
Hendriksen won at Celtic Manor a year ago but missed the cut at The Belfry final.
Now the PGA pro from Dinnaton Golf Club, Ivybridge will have the chance to make amends when he joins 13 other West qualifiers for this year's £78,000 final at the De Vere Carden Park in Cheshire from August 7-10.
Hendriksen (pictured) made nine birdies at Ferndown to finish four shots ahead of runner-up Lee Thompson of Dudsbury Golf Club.
The winner said: "I played well last year in the qualifier but must have used up all my birdies when it came to the final. I have a second chance and want to go and do a lot better this time."
Plymouth-based Hendriksen shrugged off a bogey at the third to head the qualifying pack with seven birdies over the last 12 holes.
He said: "I like tree-lined courses. I always felt I could do well here because it was a parkland course and that's the way it turned out.
"Everything fell into place - it was a case of horses for courses and this course suited me perfectly.
"I only had one blip and felt I played some very good golf. I really enjoyed the day and seemed to get the best of the weather."Hopefully Carden Park will be another course to my liking."
