TORQUAY UNITED get their Yan - Klukowski joins Gulls

Torquay United FC crestWiltshire-born goal scoring midfielder Yan Klukowski has teamed up with Kevin Nicholson’s new-look Torquay United ahead of the new season.

The 30-year-old joins Torquay from York City after helping Gary Mills’ Minstermen win the FA Trophy, beating Macclesfield 3-2 at Wembley last month.

Klukowski played for hometown club Chippenham in his youth as well as Bath City.

Between 2010 and 2014 the midfielder made 159 appearances for Forest Green Rovers, after a brief spell at Bath club Larkhall Athletic.

Three years ago he turned down the offer of a new deal at Rovers in order to pursue an opportunity to play in the Football League, teaming up with League Two Newport County.

He spent two seasons at County before joining York.
