Torquay United striker Taiwo Atieno is set to shrug off a back injury and feature in Martin Ling’s promotion chasing Gulls squad for today’s must-win League Two home game against Crewe Alexandra at Plainmoor (1500).
United head into their final home league game of the season a point behind third placed Crawley, who host Torquay’s last-day opponents, relegation haunted Hereford.
Ling's side - already assured of a play-off parachute - must win if they want to maintain their hopes of automatic promotion.
Gulls officials are expecting another near sell-out Plainmoor turn-out for today’s crunch game as Crewe seek to extend a 14-match unbeaten run and cement their play-off place.
Alex – managed by Steve Davis – are expected to include on-loan Swindon Town winger Billy Bodin, who started the season on loan at Torquay.
I will be summarising for BBC Radio Devon Sport alongside commentator Dave Saunders from Plainmoor this afternoon if you cannot make it to the game and want to tune-in.
