UP AND ADAMS New five-year deal for Argyle boss

Derek Adams Plymouth Argyle head of football Derek Adams has agreed a new five-year deal to continue managing Plymouth Argyle until summer 2023.
Glaswegian Adams, 42, teamed up with Argyle in June 2015 and will now become Head of Football at the League One club with a remit to maintain the Pilgrims' progress.


YEOVIL TOWN keeper Nelson Way's first summer capture

Nelson, 36, made five appearances for Yeovil towards the end of the season helping the Glovers gain eight points, finishing on the losing side just once.

FA TROPHY Staley spot kick sends Taunton through

Buildbase FA Trophy logoRoss Staley scored the winning seventh spot kick as Taunton Town FC beat Beaconsfield FC 7-6 on penalties to progress through to the FA Trophy third qualifying round.

Taunton target man and Peacocks skipper Matt Wright sent the replay into extra time with his powerful 84th minute headed leveller from Les Afful’s cross. The tie went to penalties after extra time finished 1-1.
