NON LEAGUE Tully appointed Truro City player-manager

Popular ex Exeter City and Torquay United full back Steve Tully has become the new player-manager at Truro City in the wake of Steve Massey’s departure.
Tully, 34, has been appointed by Truro City chairman Peter Masters to oversee the Cornish Tigers’ 10-match Southern Premier run-in.
It is Tully’s first managerial role and he intends to make it a permanent fixture having been a first team regular defender for City this term.
He said: “Truro City is a fantastic club and a great place to start in management. It’s a great opportunity to prove myself as a manager and although initially 10 games I want to make it longer.”
Tully will be ruled out of his first game in charge, at promotion-chasing Poole Town on Saturday, by an on-going ankle injury.
The new City boss is boosted by the recent return of highly respected club skipper Jake Ash from long term injury.
Tully said: "I will be speaking to Ashy tonight. To be honest the phone hasn't stopped ringing, which goes to prove how much people care about Truro City.
"Hopefully I will bring in some fresh ideas and give us fresh impetus and maybe a fresh face, or two.
"As a priority I certainly want us to build stronger links between the players and supporters. We should all be in this together."
