There was a close game at Wadebridge where the champions all but lost both opening games. They scraped home off the final ball against St Austell by one wicket.

Needing 166 the home side were 50-4 before James Turpin made 37. Earlier Mike Bone made 60 and brother Alex 32 before Matt Lawrence took 4-24.

Overseas player Lance Alberts made 75 after Billy Taylor opened with 52. Mark Jenkin, Steve Jenkin and Gavin Tregenza all passed thirty. Again Lewis Goldsworthy was the mainstay for the home side but unlike the previous week, the rest of the batting failed. He carried his bat for 57 in the 102 all out in the 33rd over.
