CLUB CRICKET Bath beat Bristol in regional final

Pace setters Bath CC beat West of England Premier Cricket league rivals Bristol CC by five wickets in the ECB Club Championship regional final at North Parade yesterday.
Bristol won the toss and opted to bat, scoring 200-8 in their 45 overs. Bath raced to 205-5 in 28 overs to set up another home clash, in the final 16 against Sussex side Normandy on Sunday July 16.
Normandy beat Havant CC in their round four tie.
Bath went into yesterday's cup tie top of Prem One having won a high scoring thriller at sixth placed Downend CC (354) by 22 runs to claim their seventh win in eight. George Hankins - in at 3 - scored 112 and Tom Hankins 71 as Bath amassed 376-6.
Fourth placed Bristol (249-8) lost their local derby at Bedminster CC (250-6). It was Bedminster's first Prem win.
