The Bond Timber Cornwall Premier League season is set for a thrilling finale this afternoon with three teams, separated by just five points, fighting to avoid the one relegation spot. Penzance won the title, for the third successive season, with two games to spare so all the final day interest will be at the foot of the table where Truro and Werrington are tied on 147 points and Callington have a five-point advantage.

As a mark of respect, following the passing of Her Majesty the Queen, English football has united to postpone all football fixtures between 9-11 September. This follows Government guidance, which encourages sporting organisations to show respect in an appropriate way.

A GOAL early in each half was enough for Ivybridge Town to continue their winning run in the South West Peninsula League with a 2-0 home victory over Axminster at Erme Valley on Saturday.Ivybridge extended their lead at the top of the East Division table with their eighth successive win of the season and are now seven points clear of second-placed Axminster.
