The 20 National Counties will be hoping for a significant improvement in the weather over this Bank Holiday weekend as they try to secure a place in the new Super 12 stage of the T20 competition.
Just four of the 20 scheduled matches in the opening round last Sunday produced positive results with 15 complete washouts and one no result.

Herefordshire made a flying start to the National Counties T20 competition by beating the weather and Wales NC twice in a rain-ravaged opening round of matches.
Play was possible at only three grounds – all of them in the South West – with 15 of the scheduled 20 matches being abandoned without a ball being bowled and another washed out at the halfway stage.

When Saltash were beaten 2-0 at home by Ilfracombe on Thursday April 18, manager Macca Brown assured supporters that the players would not be allowed to end the season with a whimper.
He’s kept his word, with his young team putting together three successive home wins in a week, scoring 12 goals without conceding.

Saltash United manager Macca Brown is calling for his improving Western Premier side to send supporters home happy for the summer ahead of tomorrow's final home game of the season against Welton Rovers.
The Ashes got it right at both ends of the pitch on Tuesday night continuing their strong finish to a testing season by beating sixth placed visitors Shepton Mallet 3-0.
