Exeter Diamonds soared to second in Premier Squash League group B following a 4-1 third round, group win at availability-hit TWP St George’s Hill.
UWE Bristol, who visit Exeter in round four on Tuesday December 6, lost 4-1 at IGT Winchester.
The vibrant international squash calendar led to numerous top players being unavailable for their clubs in the PSL, including six regulars for St George's.
It was downhill for St George’s following Dominique Lloyd-Walter’s win over courageous Exeter 15-year-old Rhianne O'Donnell 11-2, 11-4, 11-1.
James Snell, Tim Vail and Australian international Stewart Boswell delivered straight games wins for the sparkling Diamonds before Dutch No1 Laurens Jan Anjema recovered from a game down to beat rising Finnish star Henrik Mustonen - making his debut for St George's - 4-11, 6-11, 11-6, 9-11 in exactly one hour.
Exeter team manager Tony Snell said: "I was pleased with the win but more disappointed by our loss to Chichester last time out, which could have gone either way. Our next game is against Bristol and a good win could take us to the top of the table."
