South West surf star Ben Skinner is hoping to win a gold medal for Great Britain following his selection for the ISA World Surfing Games in Costa de Caparica, Portugal, from October 11-19.
Cornwall's Skinner made a spectacular splash in the world surf pool when he claimed silver in his first ISA world event in California 2006, aged 21. |

Fingle Glen’s Paul Hendriksen put himself one round away from taking on the cream of the European Tour at next year’s English Open following a convincing win in the Crown Golf English PGA Assistants' Championship qualifier at Bristol Golf Club.
The 29-year-old shot a six-under-par 64, five shots clear of second placed Lee Mackie, to lead home the six qualifiers for next month’s final.
