CLUB CRICKET Bath beat Bristol in regional final

England & Wales Cricket Board crestPace setters Bath CC beat West of England Premier Cricket league rivals Bristol CC by five wickets in the ECB Club Championship regional final at North Parade yesterday.

Bristol won the toss and opted to bat, scoring 200-8 in their 45 overs. Bath raced to 205-5 in 28 overs to set up another home clash, in the final 16 against Sussex side Normandy on Sunday July 16.




CORNWALL CRICKET Harrison smashes winning six

Cornwall Premier leaders Truro CC required a last-over victory six at St Austell as the top four all won in glorious Saturday sunshine.

After St Austell CC made 241-5, Truro's Rob Harrison hit a six to clinch victory as his side required four off the last two balls. Truro finished on 244-6.


SCHOOLS CRICKET Cornwall Association 60 years not out

A special two-day game is being played at Truro Cricket Club today and tomorrow to celebrate Cornwall Schools Cricket Association diamond jubilee.

The 1956 replay is between Cornwall and Devon Under 15s, who met in the first game, almost 60 years to the day at Liskeard.

WEPL CRICKET Clubs vote for 2016 restructure

West of England Premier Cricket League logoClubs attending the West of England Premier Cricket League annual meeting at the County Ground Bristol have voted in favour of a restructure to take effect in the summer 2016 season.

The change comes in order to address a decline in the numbers playing (league) cricket.
