Bodmin Town top the Carlsberg South West Peninsula League following their 4-1 Friday win over Cornish rivals Liskeard Athletic and yesterday's top flight results, including a 6-0 win for Dave Leonard's Plymouth Parkway at local rivals Ivybridge Town. Chris Wright scored Parkway's first half stoppage time opener before a second half goal blitz. Sam Matthews (2), Lee Doel, another from Wright and a 75th minute sixth goal from sub Ross Saint capped an eye-catching win for the Plymouth side. |

University of Exeter bid to stay top of Slazenger England Hockey League Men’s Conference West when they entertain newly promoted Cardiff & UWIC on Sunday (University Sports Park 1230). The students stormed to the top of the table following a 5-2 win at southwest rivals Firebrands, of Bristol, and goals for Rufus McNaught-Barrington (2), Brendon Noble, South African international Ian Haley and Matt Woods. |

The draw for the FA Cup third round draw takes place at 1415 on Sunday November 30 and will be broadcast live on ITV and Setanta Sports. The third round proper - when the countries top 44 teams, including southwest sides Bristol City and Plymouth Argyle enter the competition - takes place over the first weekend of January 3-4. |
