It’s Boxing Day, it’s matchday and fraught with possibilities both on sports pitches... and off.
Due to the amount of rain we have had across the country, some games have already fallen foul of the weather.
I am urging all supporters – especially attending traditional club Boxing Day rugby matches or non-league football games – to check with host clubs before travelling.
The other way to stay on-the-ball with postponements and match updates/club news is tapping in to the terrific twitter network and especially those twitter accounts run by newspaper and radio sports desks across the region.
Here is a list of the top sports desk teams already busy trying to assist your Boxing Day sporting experience with the most up-to-date news from your clubs via twitter… this list is set to become a permanent South West Sports News fixture heading into 2014 when it will also include top regional sports journalists. Merry Christmas!
