Exeter Diamonds remain eight points clear at the Premier Squash League group B summit following last night's 3-2 win at last season's runners-up TWP St George's Hill.
Exeter's heroes were Irish international Aisling Blake, top-ranked Finn Olli Tuominen and unranked veteran Tim Vail.
Vail, 35, retired from the Tour five years ago yet twice came from behind to beat rising young pro Charles Sharpes to clinch the leaders' sixth PSL win.
Tuominen beat home side newcomer Mohd Ali Anwar Reda, an Egyptian ranked 47 in the world while Blake breezed to victory in three sets.
UWE Bristol suffered a seventh successive defeat.
In his first match of the season Marwan El Shorbagy beat fellow University of West of England student Lucas Serme in 66 minutes to clinch Winchester's 4-1 win.
