Following their big day one win over defending champions Yorkshire, the eight times South West amateur county champions rallied to beat Surrey 4-1 at windswept Westward Ho!
Connelly stormed back from three down with four to play to win on the last; McGinty was two down with five to play and also won on the 18th.
Their comebacks transformed Gloucestershire’s fortunes.
Gloucestershire are the only team with two wins from two rounds at the week-long event and have already opened up a two-point County Finals leaderboard advantage.
Gloucestershire’s Alex Saunders teamed up with Claudia Ovens to win the foursomes 6&5 while Ffion Tynan was two over par for her big 6&5 singles win.
Yorkshire rallied from their opening day defeat to pip Staffordshire 3-2 while Buckinghamshire beat Norfolk 3½-1½.
With strong winds again forecast today play started at 0730, with each match consisting of two foursomes and four singles. Today it's Yorkshire vs Buckinghamshire, Norfolk vs Surrey and Gloucestershire vs Staffordshire.
