Werrington Cricket Club won the Jolly’s Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League despite losing their final match by two runs at Grampound Road CC.
Road made 214-9 and Werrington were 212 all out. On reaching 125 runs Werrington got the six bonus points they required for the title and championship celebrations could begin.
Camborne CC (94) were relegated after only picking up 4 points at derby rivals Redruth CC (194-9).
Penzance CC escaped the drop after scoring 280 at home to Falmouth CC, all out for 167 in reply.
St Austell CC made 148 at Truro CC, who responded with 149-4.
Newquay CC were all out for 133 at St Just CC, who won by eight wickets after reaching 13-2.
Helston CC (225-7) claimed the County Division One title and promotion following a 33 run win at Gorran CC (192).
Other County 1 results Callington 239-7 beat Roche 203-9, Hayle 243 beat St Gluvias 163, St Minver 118 lost to Wadebridge 122-4,Launceston 155-8 lost to Ludgvan 156-3, Menheniot Looe 199-9 beat Beacon 168
• St Just CC (265-2) retained the Premier 50/50 Cup with a 99-run win over Werrington CC (163) at Camborne CC.
Cornish Pirate and man of the match Laurence May scored 101 not out, smashing a six in the last over to bring up his century.
